Hi everyone,
My firm (law firm of 900 people with 9 regional offices) are currently looking into implementing a new online appraisal system and it would be great if anyone has any recommendations of systems.
If you have any recommendations, it would be really helpful to find out any further information on:
Whether we could bespoke the system
Whether the system could be linked to the organisation competencies/capability frameworks
Whether the system could flag to the reviewee/reviewer e.g. notifications to review objectives at different dates 9through outlook maybe)
Approximate cost of the system
How user friendly the system is/level of human input
I would appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks,
April

Hi April,
I have implemented quite a few HR software's for various companies, they are not specific appraisal systems but cover the whole HR Function, (i.e absence management, employee relations, recruitment, policies, reporting, appraisals etc.) The appraisal aspect of the system caters for all that you have requested above, obviously if you want the appraisal to work in line with competencies/capability frameworks, then there will be a high level of HR Input into the system to creates a seamless workflow.
I am currently in the process of implementing You Manage HR - software , I am finding this a very comprehensive HR System and so that requires a lot of input from the HR Dept, I do feel this software is not as user friendly as some I have used but it covers everything and all your HR processes can be managed electronically.
Other softwares I have used which have the on-line appraisal element are:
PeopleHR
BreatheHR
Not sure what you have in place already or if a full HR Software system would be a consideration for you - but it is all I can advise on personally.
Hi Suzanne
That's fab thanks for sharing your expertise with the Community.
All the best

Hi April
Lovely to hear from you and hope you are doing well?
OK so I was waiting for another member to respond as if I'm honest technology is not something I know alot about! At my last role we used a bespoke system.
Anyhow I searched around and I did find a website which had reviewed some of the systems, I am not sure what interests they have vested in this!
I was thinking given you are in the legal sector whether you could find out from contacts in other Firms what they use in terms of best practice??

Can anyone else out there help April in terms of sharing what platform you use??
I hope this helps April
