Hello,

Could anyone give me some advice regarding the notice period in the probationary period. If in the employment contract isn't stipulated any notice period in the probationary period, than what's the legal right of the employee? If the employee wants to leave in his probationary period, than what's the notice period he must give to its employer?

Any advice much appreciated.

Sorina

  • Hi Sorina,

I found the Acas website to be very useful when sorting out notice periods. I found a note on their site that mentioned a statutory notice of one week for staff, including those on a probationary period, as long as they had been employed for over one month.

Check out their site, and give them a call if you need further info:

    Hope this helps
