Hi all
Sounds like a night out for some of us, but the case below is a cautionary tale for recruitment and especially notes taken during the interviews.
I thought it may be of interest to those completing their Resourcing and Talent and Managing Employee Relations modules.

I can think of plenty of inappropriate questions I have heard in my time, it would be interesting to hear yours!
My favourite personal one which I was asked, do you have a boyfriend????? Yes really in a job interview!
Enjoy

Not so much sexist and maybe not unique, but at a second interview the MD asked me what star sign I was and what other signs in the zodiac I felt I got on with best!
Within the same company and a few years later another director was retiring and during his farewell speech he was reviewing his role and the approach he and his male colleagues took with recruitment. He said, "M and I have always had the opinion, that it's great to employ a secretary that you know can do the job, but there's no harm in employing a pretty one!" OUCH.
