Support

Hi,

I Received the follow notice:

The timeline overview advises you how to pace your study. From this document, you’ll see that the suggested submission date for the first assessed unit (DVP) has passed. Ultimately the timeline is flexible, but if you would like to follow our timeline to help keep momentum in your studies - now is the time to get started on the next unit, Business Issues and the Context of HR (CHR).

Its rather dishearting especially when i feel i am not receiving support or communication, i have not been given any timelines to know when i should be aiming to complete assignments by. I have not recieved any sort of communcation to know how to move forward.

Where can i find the timeline overview?

Kind regards

Sammie

  •  Hi, thanks for posting this I can't seem to find mine either and all my modules have gone from the learning part of my dashboard. Any tips would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

    Sam

    • Hi Samantha

Great to see that you watched the recording of the Welcome Webinar last night. I recall showing where to find the timeline document in that webinar, so I imagine you are good to go in that you have the answer to your question about the timeline. Let me know if not.

Also, I spoke about the allocation of modules. Just drop an email to onlinefacilitators@dpgplc.co.uk with this or similar systems requests and they'll open up what you need.

      Best wishes,

      Gary

      • Thank you Gary, yes I watched it again last night as a refresher, all good there thank you.

Will email as you have advised, not sure what happened with my modules as they were all there?

        Thanks again.

        Sam

        • My pleasure. Yeah, the team that looks after the onlinefacilitator@dpgplc.co.uk inbox take care of the allocation of learning so they are the best ones to ask :)

        • Hi Sam,

I had the same issue at the start all my modules had been removed. Do you know now how access the timeline?

          Kind regards

          Sammie

          • Hi Sammie

The good news is, I mentioned how to get to the timeline in my response to you in this thread. Check my response on Wednesday 24th April at 4:01 pm.

  • Hi Samantha

I'm sorry that we didn't get to see you in the Welcome Webinar on the first day of your programme.

Hopefully, you saw the message I sent you on the second day of the programme that explained where and how to access the recording of that webinar (which explained how to get started, how to access support and with how to register for the subsequent Live Introduction Q&A Webinar). Within the Welcome Webinar recordings are demonstrations of how to access the timeline mentioned in the message your quote.

I also hope that you saw my message to you on 29th March reminding you about an upcoming webinar which was focused on the first assignment along with tips on how to approach writing the assignment.

Do feel free to catch up on the recordings of the webinars that you've missed. In addition, you are welcome to join any future webinars on the Online programme. I recommend that you watch a Welcome Webinar recording to get an on-screen demonstration of how it all fits together nicely.

For further support, start by going to the Community group for Online Level 5 HRM. Here you'll see information specific to your programme and you can post questions in the tabs relevant to the unit you are studying. You'll see who is who and generally get a feel for what's happening in the programme. Click here to go to the group.

To recap on that key part of the first message, follow the link above to get to the page where you can find the Welcome Webinar recordings. The 4th March recording has been taken down now, but you'll see that there are three more recent recordings to chose from. The content is generally the same which is the reason we delete the older ones.  They are on the right-hand side in the second box from the top. Keep scrolling down to find the General Resources & Links box, within which is the timeline that I demonstrated in that first webinar.

I'm pleased that you picked up the message you've mentioned above. This reassures me that we've sent the three messages to the right email address.

    Best wishes,

    Gary

    • Hi Gary,

They was alot of confusion to when i was starting on the course, i was orgianlly loaded on to earlier. However i was under the impression there was no time to when you complete things as long as they are completed. My time frame is very tight to study, and i have weeks set out when i plan to study and complete assignments, receiving that message as put me in panic that i have missed the dead line for the first one.

      Kind regards

      Sammie

      • Hi Sammie

If you are experiencing any confusion, by all means, let us know. You can send messages (details of how to do this are right at the top of the original message you have quoted from) or attend the webinars and we'll give you support.

In the message you have quoted, it says:

'the suggested submission date' and 'Ultimately the timeline is flexible, but if you would like to follow our timeline...'

No doubt you've seen that there is no mention of a mandatory deadline. I hope that this has reduced your panic and reassured you that there are no deadlines to miss - other than the overall 2-year programme duration, as explained in that first webinar.

        Best wishes,

        Gary

  • Hi Sammie.

I'm not sure we're at the same stage, however when you log into the pathway (where all the course lessons and assessments are) click on the program home next to your name on the top grey bar it takes you to a page that has a calendar on the right handside. This have the assessment submission dates. I must admit I haven't been finding the pathway very intuitive, it took me a bit of clicking to find it last time, as I knew I'd already seen it before so it had to be there.
I hope that's helpful. I've also sent the course leader a few emails since starting and they've always responded quickly.

    Steph
