I am looking at improving our Time of in Lieu policy as at the moment, our commissioning team are accruing a large amount of time in lieu of which is not deemed acceptable. (one employee has still got 43 days to take before the end of the calendar year)
I was just wondering if anyone works in a manufacturing business and if so, what does your TOIL policy look like?

Yes TOIL does need careful management, it is not so much the policy but how managers manage within it.
Inb my last role we ended up buying back huge chunks of TOIL at a significant cost to the business.
Much of this wsa due to lack of resource planning and inefficient work processes,
