I am interviewing for an internal role tomorrow and my presentation will be around:

1. What would be my priorities and what would I aim to deliver in my first 90 days in the role;

2. What challenges I may have in transitioning to the new role and what support I may require to overcome them.

Any general ideas please? Particularly from any of you who may have gone through similar transitions in their careers?

    Good luck for today!

    It is a hard one to answer if you don't have the context of the business strategy, so my first 90 days I would spend as follows:

    Understanding the business and what its key priorities are spending time on the shopfloor etc and out in the business.

    Getting to know key stakeholders from Senior Managers, TU reps and the rest of the HR team especially if there are specialist HR people.

    Working up my HR plan for how I will deliver the business priorities and then getting on with delivering it.

    I guess key challeneges are getting used to the company culture and the way things are done around here, and hitting the ground running!
