I've shared a few things before here and here, on how much data is generated from various tools in the past but it's forever changing and being updated. I came across this infographic in one of the Google Communities I belong too and wanted to share as it just fascinates me how much content is being generated - it's incredible just to think about this EVERY minute let alone an hour or a day.
Fascinating to think that 2.4 billion people are now connected to the internet.....that still leaves 5 billion without the internet - wow......

It's mind boggling....
...and if the rest of the population who aren't currently on the internet got online and contributed at the same rate, it would be 3 times this! Would the world wide web and all the "clouds" be able to support that much data being generated?
I have no idea about how data is stored, but I'm sure I read somewhere that anything that goes online is there forever, it is never deleted, is that right? (It's probably a stupid question but I am sadly a techno dunce)
