Gaining experience in HR

Hi all,

This is my first time posting so apologies if I'm doing this in the wrong place.

I'm trying to find a way to gain experience in HR to try and get my first HR generalist role.I don't have any direct experience although a lot is transferable. I'm also doing the CIPD level3 to boost my knowledge.

Does anybody know of any non profit organisations in the Midlands that offer volunteering opportunities or internships?

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I've reached a bit of a stumbling block.

Welcome to the online group! and congrats on your first post. I am sure that there are many HR professionals out there that were once in a similar position to you so you are not alone!

If you send my your email address I will send you the name of a client who is based in Leicester they are a charity and last year provided 2 of my Level 3 students with work experience in HR. I can't promise anything but I would be happy to send you the details so you can make contact.
