Given it is Good Friday today I thought I would post some info on religion and religious belief.
Not sure how you feel but I have always felt a bit ignorant in terms of how little I knew about different religions e.g. how do Sikhism, Hinduism and Islam differ? The ACAS guidance or religion or religious belief has a really good summary at the back of a number of different religions.
One company I worked for during Ramadan (a Muslim festival for fasting) we would allow employees to shift their working hours so they could come in shortly after they started fasting in the morning and go home earlier to wait until sunset when they could eat again.

What types of arrangements have your companies made to accommodate the different practices?
A question to ask and think about is what types of challenges has this presented for HR?
